Birding Related Resources

Our Birding Philosophy is to share the joy of birding with everyone.
Science based facts are crucial to making sound decisions regarding birds, their habitat and general environmental conditions that have an effect on them. The birds we see and/or hear around us are uniquely adapted to specific landscapes. The quality of any landscape, in terms of supporting birds, depends directly on the very elements that determine a healthy wildlife habitat. Those elements include food, water, cover, and places to raise young. Our Resources Library contains supporting materials that will help you create the best possible habitat for birds. These documents also support many aspects of birding in North Carolina. Your birding committee continues to search for updated material from reliable sources for this library for your review.
We want to acknowledge organizations who provided much of the materials used here:
North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission, NC State Extension,
and North Carolina Wildlife Federation.
